About The Position

Under the general direction of the Life Enrichment Director, the Life Enrichment Assistant/Driver is responsible for enriching the lives of residents. This role involves providing high-quality customer service, engaging with prospective residents, performing welcome orientations, and developing programs based on the Whole Person Wellness Model. The position also requires using technology like iPads for resident enrichment and social media, scheduling weekend activities, and representing the company professionally. A key responsibility is providing transportation for residents to group events and personal appointments using a 14-passenger bus and a 9-passenger/2-wheelchair van. The role also includes updating decorations and overseeing the volunteer program, reporting any emergency situations to the Life Enrichment Director.

Requirements

Must obtain a chauffeur's license within 90 days of hire.
Proficiency with software applications/programs/tools used by American House for Life Enrichment position.

Responsibilities

Enrich the lives of residents.
Provide the highest quality of customer service.
Engage in prospective residents visits.
Perform welcome orientation with new residents.
Develop programs based on the Whole Person Wellness Model incorporating at least 2 of the 6 experiences (Intellectual, Social, Emotional, Vocational, and Spiritual).
Use iPad to enrich residents' lives and for community TV and Facebook.
Schedule weekend activities.
Be available to work weekends and sometimes weekends for events.
Represent American House professionally in all community events.
Drive a 14-passenger bus.
Drive a 9-passenger/2-wheelchair van to transport residents to and from doctor's appointments.
Provide transportation for both group events and personal appointments.
Update seasonal/holiday decorations throughout the building.
Oversee volunteer program.
Notify Life Enrichment Director of emergency situations.
