The Life Enrichment Activity Assistant will help provide engaging activities and programs for residents across all levels of care, including Residential Living, Memory Care/Personal Care, and Skilled Nursing.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and onboarding requirements.
  • Ability to hear, see, and communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
  • Ability to push wheelchairs and assist residents as needed.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and work at the level of a bed or chair.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Ability to assist with resident outings and transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience working with older adults, senior living, activities, recreation, dementia care, or a similar setting is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and leading group and one-on-one activities for residents.
  • Help provide a variety of recreational, social, creative, and wellness-focused programs.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences.
  • Spend meaningful one-on-one time with residents who may not participate in group activities.
  • Adapt activities to meet the physical and cognitive abilities of individual residents.
  • Assist with activities and engagement for residents living with dementia and other cognitive or physical limitations.
  • Help with community-wide events, special programs, outings, and celebrations.
  • Assist residents with transportation to and from activities and outings as needed.
  • Work closely with the Life Enrichment Team and other departments to support resident engagement and quality of life.
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming, and respectful environment for residents.
  • Complete basic activity documentation as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
