About The Position

A Life Engagement Assistant plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates therapeutic recreational activities for residents. The role establishes, promotes, and supports programs that foster enjoyment and overall wellness, and consults with other departments to implement appropriate activities. The assistant helps coordinate transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments, may occasionally transport residents, and assists with preparing the monthly community newsletter. This is a part-time position with a Sunday and Monday schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and a safe driving record.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in Senior Living.

Responsibilities

• Consult with other departments to implement appropriate activities for residents.
• Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments.
• Occasionally transport residents.
• Assist with preparing the monthly community newsletter.
