  • 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, sustainment engineering, logistics engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with RAM analysis methods and tools (e.g., reliability block diagrams, FMEA, FTA, or Weibull analysis).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present clear, actionable recommendations.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to customer and security requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, sustainment engineering, logistics engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with FRACAS, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
  • Familiarity with obsolescence management, DMSMS best practices, and BOM health analysis.
  • Experience supporting DoW/DoD or other national security programs.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD and industry standards related to reliability, maintainability, and logistics (e.g., MIL-STD-1629, MIL-HDBK-217, SAE, IEC).
  • Experience with obsolescence tools, GIDEP, and industry component databases.
  • Background in configuration management and systems engineering processes (e.g., requirements management, ECP workflows).
  • Advanced degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
  • Active DoW/DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform RAM modeling and analysis to support life cycle assessments and readiness projections for fielded systems
  • Analyze system performance, failure modes, and maintenance data to validate and refine RAM models
  • Recommend design or support strategy improvements to increase system availability and reduce life cycle cost
  • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of performance, maintenance, and environmental data across the product life cycle
  • Identify trends, drivers of downtime, and systemic issues to inform engineering changes, sustainment strategies, and process improvements
  • Develop data-driven reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and customer reviews
  • Conduct sustainment engineering activities including parts consumption analysis, maintenance trend evaluation, sparing recommendations, and cost-optimized sustainment planning
  • Develop and contribute to sustainment engineering deliverables
  • Provide technical input to Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning and logistics support analysis
  • Implement and lead the obsolescence management program for assigned systems
  • Support Supply Chain and Program Management with the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) program
  • Conduct BOM health assessments and track technology refresh plans to ensure long-term system viability.
  • Identify alternative components, suppliers, or redesign strategies to mitigate obsolescence and supply risk
  • Utilize GIDEP, industry databases, supplier inputs, and market intelligence to proactively identify and address obsolescence risks
  • Implement and manage a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
  • Analyze failure data, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective actions through closure
  • Drive reliability growth initiatives and recommend design, process, or support changes that improve system performance and availability
  • Provide feedback loops into design, manufacturing, and sustainment teams to continually enhance system reliability
  • Support systems engineering life cycle activities, including configuration management and requirements traceability
  • Track system modifications, upgrades, ECPs (Engineering Change Proposals), and technology refreshes throughout the life cycle
  • Review and update Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to ensure consistency with fielded configurations and approved changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems engineering, logistics, supply chain, program management) to ensure sustainment considerations are integrated into design and upgrade decisions
