About The Position

This role supports interdepartmental and facility teams companywide by reviewing and evaluating complex applications, forms, and requests related to healthcare regulatory licensure and Medicare enrollment documentation. The position is crucial for accuracy in M&A and divestiture transaction processes. The Director will work with the Licensure & Healthcare Regulatory team and partners on all aspects of licensing and Medicare enrollment for Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), hospitals, and practices with various Government Agencies and State Agencies. This includes processing and monitoring applications, communicating with relevant teams and authorities, and maintaining accurate files and databases.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience, in an in-house legal department or law firm.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of state, federal and local regulations.
  • Knowledge of company formation and organization structure.
  • Superior analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations.
  • Skilled in working with Windows based software systems.
  • Skilled in Intermediate Microsoft Word Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently with local facility and corporate teams.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and reach multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to serve as a resource person, resolve administrative problems, and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Exceptional ability to plan, organize, and implement a plan to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance of ASC, hospital, and practice healthcare regulatory licensure processes (state license, pharmacy, CLIA, radiation machine, DEA, etc.) and Medicare enrollments.
  • Support renewal processes for ASC, hospital, and practice regulatory licensure and Medicare enrollments, including reviewing renewal applications.
  • Support problem resolution related to ASC, hospital, and practice healthcare regulatory licensure matters and Medicare enrollments.
  • Analyze and compile ownership and management disclosure information.
  • Create and maintain ASC, hospital, and practice ownership charts.
  • Support due diligence processes for proposed transactions.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with various healthcare regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate as part of a team by assisting with other healthcare regulatory related duties as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
