About The Position

The Licensing, Standards, and Safety Facilitator (LSS Facilitator) is an enthusiastic, self-motivated expert dedicated to guiding PCL teams in adhering to essential Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs), Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OR-OSHA) and PCL policies relevant to their designated areas. This role is vital in helping team members link decision-making and documentation to the services provided to individuals, while ensuring top-notch regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • At least 6 months of Licensing & Standards Experience required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age when starting employment.
  • Must have and show basic computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail.
  • Cooperative and willing to learn.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions.
  • Enhanced math skills – must be able to accurately balance a budget and basic math transactions.
  • Professional, clear, and positive oral and written communication skills both expressive and receptive.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • PCL’s Team members must have dependable, reliable, and regular work attendance, and must adhere to attendance policies.
  • Must pass required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and to be eligible to drive agency vehicles.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening for illegal substances in the state of Oregon.
  • Complete and maintain all certifications as required by the position, PCL, and other governing agencies.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification to a satisfactory level in Oregon Intervention System (training provided if hired).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR (training provided if hired).
  • New hire orientation and on-site training must be completed within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure agency service quality standards are maintained by meeting with the residential team, conducting Reviews and Quality processes, and following up to ensure any issues are resolved.
  • Be a representative for PCL during OSHA inspections.
  • Provide expertise and support for state licensing processes, preparing a new home to open, or supporting someone new to move into a home.
  • Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee, participating in planning, scheduling, and conducting safety reviews across administrative offices and service locations.
  • Participate in the management and distribution of agency safety supplies and inventory (PPE, sanitizing, etc.).
  • Represent PCL with professionalism in all meetings related to licensing requirements and OSHA standards.
  • Present effectively in a classroom setting while engaging adult learners and acknowledging different learning styles.
  • Complete all duties related to being a Mandatory Abuse Reporter.
