MAJORITY is looking for a disciplined, curious, and analytical individual early in their regulatory or compliance career who is eager to gain hands-on experience in financial products and a deep understanding of the complex regulatory frameworks that govern them, from within a fast-growing U.S. startup environment. This role will be responsible for communicating with both internal stakeholders and representing MAJORITY in front of external regulators and international partners. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with sharp critical thinking skills who can take full ownership of business-critical projects and is excited to take on new challenges and get the opportunity to take on greater responsibility. This is an in-person position based out of our Miami office.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in one or more of the following: Regulatory operations, compliance, legal operations, or risk
  • Financial services, fintech, payments, banking, or regulated industries
  • Government, regulatory agencies, or professional services supporting regulated clients
  • Strong critical thinking skills: able to connect dots between business activities and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to learn complex subject matter quickly and independently.
  • Intellectual curiosity about financial products, payments flows, and how regulated businesses operate.
  • Able to communicate with important stakeholders across levels, from junior team members to senior leaders and external regulators.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills: detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Able to quickly learn about regulatory frameworks and be able to apply them thoughtfully to evolving business models.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of regulatory filings, audits, or structured documentation processes.
  • Experience with money transmitter licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, submission, and tracking of state money transmitter license applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Gather, organize, and validate required materials including corporate records, financial information, policies, and background documentation.
  • Support filings through systems such as the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) and state regulator portals, where applicable.
  • Support audits and exams by coordinating document collection and responses to inquiries.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product, and Operations teams to understand business activities and translate them into accurate regulatory submissions.
  • Ask questions to dig deeper and ensure licensing applications fully and accurately reflect products, services, and operational realities.
  • Draft and coordinate responses to regulator inquiries under guidance from senior team members.
  • Track regulatory correspondence, requests, and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain internal trackers, calendars, and documentation related to licensing status and regulatory obligations.
  • Help with developing internal processes, templates, and institutional knowledge around licensing workflows.
