About The Position

As the Licensing Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting Greyson’s licensed product business across professional and collegiate channels. This position is responsible for managing licensing agreements, coordinating product approvals, and ensuring compliance with league and partner requirements. Working cross-functionally with Design, Production, and Sales, you will help drive operational execution and maintain strong relationships with key licensing partners. This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of three days per week required on-site at our Downtown Detroit office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, supply chain, or a related field preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in licensing operations, apparel production, or brand management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and licensing/compliance platforms (e.g., BrandComply)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and brand standards
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment tied to seasonal business cycles
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to manage external partner relationships
  • Passion for product, brand integrity, and operational excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with licensing platforms (e.g., CLC/Learfield, MLB, NFL) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and track all licensing agreements, including royalty rates, minimum guarantees, and contract terms
  • Prepare and submit quarterly royalty reports through licensing portals (e.g., MLB, NFL, CLC/Learfield)
  • Monitor sell-off periods and ensure compliance with contractual distribution requirements
  • Manage end-to-end product submissions through licensing platforms, ensuring timely approvals
  • Partner with Design to ensure all products meet licensing guidelines, including logo usage, branding, and style standards
  • Track and manage physical sample submissions and maintain organized records of approved master samples
  • Oversee procurement and distribution of required licensing materials, including holograms and hangtags
  • Partner with Production to ensure vendor compliance with league-mandated standards and audits
  • Audit e-commerce and wholesale listings to ensure accurate and compliant representation of licensed products
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for licensing partners, including professional leagues and collegiate organizations
  • Coordinate special event licensing requests (e.g., postseason, championships, tournaments)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support timelines and business priorities
