The purpose of the Division of Gaming is to ensure that limited gaming is conducted honestly, fairly and competitively, and is free from criminal and corrupt elements. The Licensing Unit is seeking a Licensing Coordinator to join their team. This position involves overseeing and coordinating a variety of licensing and regulatory tasks related to business applications, renewals, verifications, compliance and training. The role requires a high level of decision-making, analysis, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and handle sensitive information. The incumbent plays a key supportive role within the team by offering guidance, training, and procedural updates.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of relevant experience in higher level administrative support in professional office setting, demonstrating high level decision making and multitasking.
  • A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in higher level administrative support in professional office setting, demonstrating high level decision making and multitasking equal to six (6) years.
  • Must be able to pass a background check/ Tax Check.
  • Applicants must successfully pass a background investigation and a tax check prior to appointment to positions in the Gaming Division.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and managing licensing processes, including follow-ups on incomplete applications
  • Denial tracking (30-day letters), fingerprint retrieval, and Tribal Tax and license verifications
  • Ensuring business applications are complete, entering requisitions, and processing AVC payments, as well as providing Administrator support on Commission days
  • Developing training materials and providing training for licensing staff, updating procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance in all processes
  • Updating procedures in the Division of Gaming and employee procedure manuals
  • Receives criminal histories of applicants following fingerprint/licensing processing
  • Initiates proper tracking of all disciplinary actions for licensees
  • Checking in business applications to ensure completeness for processing
