The Law Society of BC is seeking a permanent, full-time Licensing Coordinator in our Registration & Licensee Services department. Reporting to the Director, Registration & Licensee Services, the Licensing Coordinator (LC) is tasked with regular day-to-day activities to ensure the core functions of the department are operating efficiently and effectively while carrying out the Law Society’s mandate. The LC position plays a key role in overseeing the performance, productivity, and workflow for all student-related applications, while also processing assigned complex applications and change requests, and responding to inquiries from applicants, licensees, the public, and other stakeholders. This role monitors student application activities, addresses escalated applications, requests and inquiries, performs other student administration duties, and provides guidance and support to the team when needed. Acting as a key point of coordination across roles, the LC collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support timely and effective service delivery. In addition, the LC monitors the department‘s phone and email operations to ensure inquiries are addressed within the established service standards. This role also leads process improvements initiatives, supports the implementation of departmental changes, and participates in broader organizational projects.
