About The Position

This position is bilingual and requires duties to be carried out in both English and Spanish. The job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test. Join the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board (LCB) as a Licensing and Outreach Specialist and play a key role in supporting safe, compliant, and successful landscape businesses across the state. In this role, you will coordinate the Board’s licensing program and serve as a primary resource for the public, current and potential licensees, and industry partners. You’ll help people navigate Oregon’s licensing requirements, strengthen community understanding through outreach, and support agency programs through clear communication and exceptional customer service. You’ll also lead bilingual (English/Spanish) engagement efforts, build partnerships with schools and trade groups, develop outreach materials, and help shape strategies that increase compliance and awareness statewide. This position combines education, customer service, program support, and community engagement in a dynamic and meaningful way.

Requirements

  • Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are required for this position.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and interpret Spanish fluently.
