Licensed Wireman or Journeyman Electrician - Michigan
About The Position
SpartanX is seeking Licensed Wireman and Licensed Journeyman Electricians to support residential solar installation and electrical operations across active markets. This role is ideal for licensed electricians who take pride in clean workmanship, safety, efficiency, and professionalism. Candidates must be comfortable leading electrical work onsite, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with NEC and local code requirements. This is a hands-on field role supporting residential solar installation, electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, operational quality control, and field leadership.
Requirements
- Active Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license required
- Solar PV experience preferred
- Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in the field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in outdoor environments
- Professional communication and customer interaction skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment safely throughout the workday
Nice To Haves
- Solar PV experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Install, wire, troubleshoot, and commission residential solar PV systems
- Perform electrical work for roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar systems
- Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, blueprints, and system schematics
- Ensure all electrical work meets NEC standards and local AHJ requirements
- Troubleshoot system performance issues, inverter faults, and electrical deficiencies
- Perform testing and verification of system functionality and safety
- Lead and support installation crews onsite when required
- Maintain organized documentation, photos, and completion records
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and internal operations teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
