UT Physicians is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Sienna Multispecialty Clinic. In this full-time role, you will function as an integral member of a collaborative clinical team, providing focused care to patients with predictable healthcare needs while supporting safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary ambulatory setting serving both specialty and geriatric populations. You will build meaningful relationships with a diverse patient population, expand your clinical knowledge across multiple specialties, and make a direct impact on patient outcomes while working alongside a supportive leadership team in a fast-paced academic medical practice. Requirements

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a multispecialty clinic is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.
  • Directed practice under supervision of registered nurse, advanced practice nurse, physician assistant, physician, dentist or podiatrist.
  • Functions under own license providing technical component of care such as medication administration and clinical procedures.
  • Collects data and performs focused patient assessments.
  • Participates in the plan of care.
  • Implements appropriate aspects of care within scope of practice.
  • Solicits orders or initiates standing orders for prescription refills and implements standing delegation orders as necessary for specific patient population management.
  • Implements teaching plans for patients with well-defined health problems and well-defined learning needs.
  • Provides direct basic care to assigned patients.
  • Performs telephone messaging and in person screening with appropriate follow up.
  • Performs all functions related to clinic and patient flow to include clinic preparation, supply stocking, EHR review, preparation for and assistance with procedures, scheduling appointments.
  • Respects and maintains privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Adheres to standards of practice for vocational nurses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
