About The Position

Medcor is looking to hire a LVN on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Nurse in our employer based, occupational health clinic in Tulare, California. The clinic operates Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The compensation range for this role is $32-$34 per hour depending on experience. Since this is on an as needed basis there are no guaranteed hours. Day-to-day responsibilities include patient care, workers' compensation case management, Return to Work program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring. A typical day involves participating in clinic operations, providing customer service, assessing and treating workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor's protocols, building internal relationships, supporting employee health and wellness, conducting pre-employment and post-offer screenings, and documenting care using EMR systems. Specific duties include Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), Case Management, Medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping.

Requirements

  • LOVE what you do
  • Valid licensure for the position in which you are applying
  • Current CPR/BLS
  • Strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software
  • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, with key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
  • Patient care

  • Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation
  • Treatment plan monitoring
  • Work closely with outside medical providers.
  • Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
