Licensed Vocational Nurse - PRN
About The Position
South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital in Brownsville, Texas is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide general nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for people recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and other serious conditions requiring intensive therapy. Its programs include neurological, orthopedic, and cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, with personalized therapy, bilingual support, and family education. Requirements
- Current state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Awareness of current infection control requirements and practices.
- Clinical proficiency using policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Appropriate use of supplies and equipment.
- General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.

- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting.
