About The Position

Mission Community Hospital, a 145-bed acute care hospital in the San Fernando Valley, is seeking a New Graduate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their Medical-Surgical/Telemetry team on the Night Shift. This role offers a supportive, collaborative environment for new nurses to gain valuable hands-on experience caring for a diverse patient population. The LVN will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Physician, playing an important role in administering medications and treatments, monitoring and documenting patient status, assisting with patient assessments and care planning, providing patient and family education, collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and delivering safe, patient-centered care to adolescent through geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Current California LVN License
• IV Therapy Certification (or completion of a California-approved IV Therapy Course)
• Current BLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• MAB Certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care experience is welcomed but not required.
