About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at WE LEVEL UP is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The role involves delivering compassionate and efficient healthcare services, ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing program.
  • Current and valid Vocational Nurse license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in providing direct patient care and managing patient records.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and nursing practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to perform basic nursing procedures and administer medications safely.
  • Proficient in assessing patient conditions and implementing appropriate care plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide basic patient care, including wound care, hygiene assistance, and mobility support.
  • Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided and patient responses.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
  • Participate in patient assessments and contribute to the planning of care strategies.
  • Assist in emergency situations, providing prompt and effective care.
  • Support the healthcare team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
