The primary purpose of this job position is to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. This supervision must adhere to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, as well as requirements from the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor, to ensure the highest quality of care is maintained.
