About The Position

DaVita is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to work in an outpatient dialysis center. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families who are dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The position requires delivering care in an empathetic and compassionate manner. No prior dialysis experience is required, as training will be provided. Training may occur in a facility or a training clinic other than the assigned home clinic, and the nurse may be required to float to various clinics during and after training. A flexible schedule is necessary, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting, be part of a supportive team, and provide care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and a broad range of nursing skills. The work involves using your head, heart, and hands daily in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • IV certification (if required by state regulations)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
  • Functional proficiency in DaVita computer systems within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • BONENT or CHT certification (preferred or as required by state regulation)
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting
