About The Position
TK Health is a correctional healthcare provider seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at the Bowie County Jail in Texarkana, TX. This role involves delivering nursing care in an assigned area, performing both dependent and independent nursing functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN/LPN will support overall healthcare operations within the facility, providing care to an underserved population in a secure, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Current LVN or LPN license in the State of Texas
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a secure correctional environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in correctional, emergency, or institutional healthcare preferred but not required

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN practice
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the provider
- Monitor and document patient health status and medical needs
- Assist with intake screenings and medical assessments
- Respond to medical concerns and emergencies within the facility
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care
- Follow TK Health policies, procedures, and correctional healthcare standards
