About The Position

We are seeking two dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to perform advanced vocational nursing work under the guidance of the Facility’s Medical Director. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care, treatment, and general welfare for individuals with intellectual disabilities, complex medical conditions, and mental or behavioral health needs.

Requirements

• Current, active license to practice nursing from the Texas Board of Nursing or a state recognizing reciprocity via the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass background checks (including criminal history, fingerprints, and registry clearances), drug screening, and remain eligible to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• Must meet all HHSC immunization requirements.
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training, including facility CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services following the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) process.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments; monitor weights, diets, feedings, and vital signs; observe for unusual symptoms or reactions.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of illness and use appropriate nursing judgment to deliver quality care, including the initiation of acute care plans.
• Complete timely computer data entry, reports, records, and files as required by HHSC policy standards.
• Adhere to facility Standard Operating Procedures and accrediting body standards, including Joint Commission Guidelines, WFSH Policy and Directives, and HHSC Standards.
