About The Position
HJ Staffing is seeking dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for opportunities at the Denton State Supported Living Center (DSSLC). In this role, you will perform advanced vocational nursing work, providing high-quality care, treatment, and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, complex medical conditions, and mental or behavioral health needs. Requirements
- Active, valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas (or compact license)
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
- Must meet Texas HHSC immunization requirements
- Must pass HHSC-required drug screening
- Must complete HHSC-required fingerprinting and background checks
- Must complete facility and HHSC required onboarding training
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments
- Educate patients on medications
- Maintain thorough clinical documentation
- Accurately enter and maintain patient data into facility computer systems
- Adhere strictly to facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policies and Directives, and Texas HHSC Standards, Rules, and Directives
