Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Private Duty

About The Position
BrightStar Care is looking for a compassionate and dependable LVN to provide one-on-one private-duty care during a 3-hour evening shift. This is a structured and routine shift with a supportive and loving family. The patient is able to assist with transfers and will guide you through his established nighttime routine.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license
- Minimum 1 year of documented experience
- Current BLS-CPR certification
- Reliable and compassionate approach to patient care
Nice To Haves
- Med-Surg or home health experience preferred, but willing to train
Responsibilities
- Assist with the patient's evening medications and bedtime routine
- Assist with transfers using a transfer board
- Reposition the patient for comfort and safety
- Assist with hand, wrist, leg, and toe stretches
- Provide urinary drainage bag care and monitor for blockage
- Assist with CPAP setup and use
- Occasionally assist with suprapubic catheter changes
- Occasionally assist with toileting
- Perform routine comfort and safety checks
- Follow the patient's established nighttime care routine
