About The Position
Crestwood is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join their team. For over 50 years, Crestwood has been dedicated to creating innovative recovery programs and supportive communities. This role involves providing direct nursing care to clients, following physician's orders and established care standards, and directing non-licensed personnel in client care and unit operations. The position is located in Santa Barbara, California, within a safe, calming, and homelike environment that offers comprehensive mental health services for up to 23 hours, with referrals for ongoing community-based support.
Requirements
- Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT.
- Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to the clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice.
- Provides direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit.
