About The Position

Crestwood is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice. The nurse will provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit. Located in Santa Barbara, clients are welcomed into a safe, calming, and homelike environment, where they will receive compassionate recovery support from a diverse team of clinical staff trained in Trauma-Informed Approaches of care. Clients receive comprehensive mental health services and support for up to 23 hours, after which they are referred to community mental health services to continue their recovery journey.

Requirements

Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT.
Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
Current CPR and first aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
