The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides direct nursing care to the clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice. The nurse will provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit. Our San Francisco Geary Crisis Stabilization is a 16-bed facility that provides immediate care for people in the local community with urgent mental health needs. Located in the heart of the Tenderloin district, we are designed to address urgent needs in a densely urban setting. We are committed to stepping up as a premier provider and making a meaningful impact in this underserved community.

Requirements

Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT.
Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
Current CPR and first aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
