The hospital is recognized for its full range of diagnostic and treatment services in various specialties, including Cardiovascular, Surgical, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and Emergency and Trauma Care. St. Francis Medical Center is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI Receiving Center, ED Approved for Pediatrics, Geriatric ED, Level III Neonatal ICU, and Level II Trauma Center. The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family. This role performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • IV certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.
