About The Position

Sequoia Transitional Care is a beautiful 99-bed skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. We are currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Charge Nurse who is passionate about caring for seniors and working as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Whether you’re an experienced nurse or a new graduate looking for a supportive environment, we provide the training, leadership support, and culture needed to help you succeed.

Requirements

• Current California LVN license in good standing
• CPR certification required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Compassion for the geriatric population
• This position requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents throughout the shift.
• The ability to lift or move at least 25 pounds may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and physician orders
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Supervise and support CNAs on shift
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation and nursing notes
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Communicate with physicians, residents, and family members regarding care
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
