Our ideal candidate will have open availability, excellent time management skills as well as being able to work in a team. Duties will include assisting in rooms with doctors, drawing blood and running labs, filling meds and administering medications, feeding/watering/cleaning patients., etc

Requirements

  • 1-3 + years of prior Clinical Veterinary Technician experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with pets and their owners
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Skills with: Blood draws, Placing IV catheters, Digital radiology including positioning, Dentistry, Anesthesia & Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; and Sedivue are preferred!
  • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Place IV catheter
  • Knowledge of anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry
  • Communication with team and DVMS
  • Proper handling

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Assisting DVM with exams, treatments, sx
  • Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia
  • Radiographs
  • Collect lab samples and run in-house tests
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed
  • Occasionally assist in exam rooms with DVM
  • Monitor hospitalized patients
