Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Texas
- Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent
- Strong clinical and technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring and patient care
- Confidence in animal handling and restraint with a compassionate approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for veterinary medicine
Responsibilities
- Work side by side with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care and client experience
- Assist with patient exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Prepare and monitor patients for surgery, including anesthesia monitoring and recovery care
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Provide attentive nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
- Perform venipuncture and support diagnostic testing
- Operate and maintain equipment such as digital radiography and in-house lab analyzers
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
