About The Position
Tongass Veterinary Services, a full-service veterinary hospital in Juneau, Alaska, provides high-quality medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, and horses. The practice offers comprehensive services including wellness, preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, surgery, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory and pharmacy services. They are currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team, ideally with experience in veterinary technology, small animal medicine, and flexible availability. Equine experience is considered a plus.
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) required

Responsibilities
- Assist Veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
- Experience with surgery and general anesthesia
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
