About The Position

Rice Creek Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, along with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. This position consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break and one set weekday off. No weekend hours are required. The stated pay range is $22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience, and the position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
