About The Position

Pine Woods Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a Fear Free clinic, and applicants who have or would like to pursue their Fear Free certification are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs. You will also ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication, review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity. Collaboration with the team is essential to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care. Our technicians are crucial in delivering exceptional patient care by taking technician appointments, assisting with surgery, coordinating and executing treatment plans, and providing thorough client education. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of New York
  • Proficiency in Radiology & lab sample collection
  • Proficiency in Anesthesia monitoring & maintenance
  • Proficiency in Phlebotomy & IV Catheter placement
  • Proficiency in Client communication & education
