About The Position
Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) is seeking a motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join their surgery team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced anesthesia, complex surgical cases, and a board-certified surgeon, fostering rapid skill development and significant impact. Requirements
- Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required
- Previous surgical and anesthesia experience required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgical needs
- Confidence in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves
- Experience with advanced anesthesia, analgesia, and ventilator use strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures
- Utilize advanced anesthesia and analgesia protocols tailored to each patient
- Operate and monitor ventilators during anesthesia
- Assist with and support complex surgical procedures alongside a board-certified surgeon
- Run anesthesia for CT imaging cases
- Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, lab work, and pre-op assessments
- Monitor sedated and hospitalized surgical patients
- Maintain sterile technique and support surgical suite efficiency
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding procedures and aftercare
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records
- Collaborate with ER and specialty teams for both scheduled and emergency surgical cases
