About The Position

Pet Emergency Treatment (PET), Alaska’s leading 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Critical Care team in Anchorage, Alaska. As an ER Licensed Veterinary Technician at PET, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting pets through urgent and critical medical situations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience required
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) credential preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency or critical care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assisting doctors with emergency and critical care procedures
  • Monitoring anesthesia and patient vital signs
  • Placing and maintaining IV catheters
  • Collecting and processing diagnostic samples
  • Performing accurate medical calculations
  • Supporting digital radiography and treatment procedures
  • Monitoring patient comfort and progress throughout hospitalization
  • Communicating with clients compassionately and professionally
  • Collaborating closely with doctors and team members to provide organized, efficient patient care
