About The Position

Nestled in the Sierra foothills of California, Sierra Ridge Academy located on the Sierra Ridge Campus is a licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program that offers individual, group, and family therapy, as well as evidence-based skill and rehabilitation groups. Sierra Ridge Academy embraces a strengths-based approach within a least restrictive program model and normalized high school environment. Here youth become part of a cohesive, supportive, dynamic community of peers and highly qualified staff. Through Rite of Passage’s Integrated Care Model, Sierra Ridge Academy provides a trauma-responsive program that is individualized for each youth.

Requirements

• Be empathetic, patient, consistent, compassionate, and have an honest work ethic.
• Treat others with respect.
• Have a desire to work with troubled teens.
• Hold a California license as a LPC, LMSW, LCSW, OR LMFT.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Oversee the completion of treatment for students under their care.
• Conduct clinical assessments.
• Develop service plans.
• Provide counseling.
• Offer case management.
• Perform record keeping.
• Coordinate services with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Document and assess the effectiveness of specific interventions toward meeting treatment plan objectives and goals.
• Provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
• Complete monthly progress notes, staffing reports, plans, and discharge summaries of all students within your care.
