About The Position

The Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Licensed Therapist at The Oaks Academy in Brownwood, Texas. The Oaks Academy is a secure post-adjudication facility that provides comprehensive services to young men (13-17), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features group, individual, and family therapy, on-site schooling, individual dorm rooms, and extracurricular opportunities for the young men. Requirements

Texas license as a LPC, LAC, LMSW, LCSW, OR LMFT
Master’s Degree in a relevant field
At least 21 years of age
Able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
Able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
Meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having an active Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Provides individual, family, and group therapy.
Oversees the completion of treatment for students under their care.
Conducts clinical assessments.
Develops service plans.
Provides counseling.
Performs case management.
Maintains record keeping.
Coordinates services with the multi-disciplinary team.
Documents and assesses the effectiveness of specific interventions toward meeting treatment plan objectives and goals.
Provides crisis intervention, as necessary.
Completes monthly progress notes, staffing reports, plans, and discharge summaries of all students within their care.
