About The Position

The Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing direct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy, to clients in our detox and residential levels of care. This role requires expertise in addiction treatment, crisis intervention, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure: LSW, LPC, or LAC.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy in a substance abuse treatment setting.
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement in clinical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care).
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups related to early recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, and mental health.
  • Manage a caseload of residential and/or detox clients, ensuring high-quality, continuous clinical care.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation (progress notes, discharge summaries, etc.) in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the medical team, case managers, and residential staff to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and participate in the facility's on-call rotation as required.
  • Coordinate discharge planning, including connecting clients with appropriate aftercare and community resources.
