About The Position

Bowen Health is seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC) to join their team. This role involves assessing patients, diagnosing mental health and substance use disorders, and creating individualized treatment plans. The therapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care and psychiatric services within Bowen Health, and work with family members as part of patient treatment. A key aspect of the role is managing patients in crisis situations, evaluating risk, and initiating appropriate safety responses. The position also requires completing mental health and substance use evaluations for various patient populations, including those discharged from hospitals or referred from external psychiatric facilities, and linking them to necessary services. The therapist will attend clinical supervision and staff meetings, provide counseling using evidence-based practices, and complete required documentation. Practicing measurement-based care through routine use of patient outcome measures and providing referrals to support an integrative care model are also essential. The role emphasizes advocating for and practicing in a welcoming, inclusive, and non-discriminatory manner, adhering to ethical codes and maintaining professional boundaries. Maintaining credentials with managed care contracts through timely documentation is also required.

Requirements

Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Addiction Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field (or its equivalent).
Any amount of experience in evaluating high risk patients.
Ability to connect patients with necessary services.
Ability to accurately document patient strengths and needs.
Ability to develop a collaborative, integrated and individualized care plan.
Ability to provide intentional patient focused care, using evidence based practices.
Temporary license or active Associate License in the state of Indiana.
Authority to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Create a treatment plan for patients based on the needs of the individual.
Refer patients to other healthcare professionals as needed, including Bowen Health’s primary care and psychiatric services.
Work with family members and other authorized contacts, as needed, as part of treatment for the patient.
Work with any patients in crisis situations, evaluate risk and initiate appropriate response to promote patient safety.
Complete CSSRS or other crisis tools and link to or provide necessary services that may include, but are not limited to, IPH admission, crisis planning, referral.
Complete mental health and substance use evaluations for Hospital-discharged patients, high-risk patients, critical care patients, and patients referred from psychiatric inpatient facilities outside Bowen Health, and other patients as needed and link them to necessary services.
Attend all required clinical supervision sessions and staff meetings.
Provide counseling services using evidenced based practices, within CSO-approved clinical scope of practice, and complete required documentation of services rendered.
Practice measurement-based care by the routine use of approved patient outcome measures.
Provide referrals to services to support an integrative care model of treatment. Referrals include but not limited to community resources, medical providers and transportation services.
Advocate for and practice in a welcoming, inclusive and non-discriminatory manner.
Practice in full alignment with Bowen Health policy and professional trade association ethics codes including, but not limited to maintaining strong, appropriate provider-patient boundaries and avoiding dual relationships.
Maintain credentials with all applicable managed care contracts by completing the necessary documentation and returning change to submit it on a timely basis.
