About The Position

IMPOWER is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Therapist to provide on-site outpatient behavioral health services at the Christian Service Center (CSC). This location primarily serves individuals experiencing homelessness and frequently supports individuals living with chronic mental health conditions and other complex behavioral health needs. As the on-site behavioral health provider, the Licensed Therapist will provide accessible, trauma-informed care to individuals who may face significant barriers to accessing traditional behavioral health services. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based individual, and group therapy. The therapist will work closely with CSC staff, IMPOWER team members, referral sources, and community partners to coordinate care, address barriers to treatment, and help individuals stabilize, improve their behavioral health, and achieve their personal treatment goals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Florida licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT).
  • Minimum of two years of clinical behavioral health experience, preferably providing services to children and families.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a Level II background screening, local law enforcement check, and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing therapeutic services based on each individual's needs and treatment goals.
  • Provide substance use counseling and related services when clinically appropriate.
  • Manage an assigned caseload and coordinate services with individuals, families, support systems, referral sources, and other providers.
  • Accept assigned cases within 48-hours and schedule initial appointments within five days of assignment.
  • Provide services to walk-in individuals when appropriate and scheduling permits.
  • Maintain accurate and current appointment schedules in the Electronic Health Record.
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and appropriate referrals or coordination of care when needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, case consultation, and outpatient team meetings.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and comply with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, ethical standards, and IMPOWER policies and procedures.
  • Follow all mandated reporting requirements related to suspected abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitation.
  • Maintain required professional licensure, credentialing, training, and payer qualifications.
