About The Position

Sierra Health and Wellness utilizes evidence-based methods to restore families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues. Our outpatient facility (PHP) helps adolescents in the Roseville area. Designed for adolescents who experience overwhelming symptoms of mental health like anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, or teens who are engaging in unsafe behaviors. We offer teens and their families a safe and welcoming environment to promote healthy life skills, develop resilience, and improve daily functioning. Position available: Full-time: Monday- Friday

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a license as a mental health professional regulated by a state board (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
  • Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
  • Have at minimum two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling.
  • Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
  • Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Two to five years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with mentally and emotionally disturbed clients
  • Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency.
  • Works as a team member with other professionals
  • Participates in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences
  • Conducts individual , family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives
  • Participates in collaborative treatment with representatives of other agencies
  • Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports
  • Attends conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current awareness of mental health methodologies and issues
  • Operates a personal computer and other office equipment
  • Communicates effectively with others in person and over the telephone
  • Analyze data, interpret directions, procedures and regulations, and develop appropriate responses
  • Perform job duties under stressful conditions
  • May be assigned some lead and special work coordination responsibilities
