About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to join their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This role involves providing community-based care to clients recovering from mental health and substance use challenges. The position is described as meaningful work that changes lives daily through compassion, ethics, and integrity. The ACT Team delivers care in clients' homes, shelters, and on the streets, offering personalized support and guidance towards lasting recovery. The role emphasizes community impact, collaborative support with a multidisciplinary team, empowerment and advocacy for clients, and professional growth opportunities including licensure supervision funding.

Requirements

• Certified as a CADC or CCS, or provisionally or fully licensed as a LCAS/A in NC.
• Comfortable working in community settings with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use assessments and provide individual and group interventions.
• Facilitate access to recovery resources, including 12-step programs.
• Collaborate with the ACT team to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Participate in daily team meetings to ensure quality service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Welligent EMR.
• Offer on-call crisis intervention services as part of a rotating schedule.

• Hourly Salary: $43,680 to $65,000/year | $21.00 - $31.25/hour, based on licensure and experience
