About The Position

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing face-to-face diagnostic assessments, as well as individual and group therapy and case management services. This role involves maintaining clinical responsibility for an assigned caseload, utilizing the DSM-5 for diagnostic assessments, and providing various psychotherapy interventions. The position requires meticulous record-keeping, meeting productivity goals, and effectively managing caseloads to ensure audit-ready status. Additionally, the role involves utilizing basic clinical interventions to support client well-being, acquiring knowledge of community resources, and advocating for clients to enhance their relationships and self-advocacy skills. Collaboration with referral sources, agencies, and legal entities is also a key aspect, as is timely input of clinical documentation into the EHR system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related Behavioral/Mental Health.
  • Requires license to practice as a Social Worker/ Counselor in Ohio (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC).
  • Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Word and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment.
  • Must have valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clinical responsibility for assigned caseload.
  • Proficient use of DSM-5 to provide diagnostic assessments for adults, teens, and children.
  • Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy interventions.
  • Maintains complete and current clinical records regarding all persons served.
  • Consistently meets productivity goals.
  • Demonstrates satisfactory performance on identified metrics.
  • Provides effective and efficient management of caseload, including regular review of case files to ensure on-going audit-ready status.
  • Utilize basic clinical interventions to support client efforts toward sobriety, coping with symptoms of depression and anxiety, safe lifestyle, healthy socialization, suicide prevention, occupational and academic success, individual and family restoration, and overall wellbeing.
  • Acquire knowledge and maintain current contact and referral information of community resources to address client needs for support of sobriety and mental stability, food, clothing, housing, financial assistance, inpatient referrals, medical care, and safety.
  • Assess client needs for community resources and coordinate linkage to ensure they maintain an effective connection.
  • Advocate for assigned clients to collaborate with their personal supports and outside entities to enhance relationships and demonstrate a role for them to learn self-advocacy.
  • Collaborate with referral sources, local agencies, and legal entities as needed to coordinate client care, facilitate referrals, achieve and maintain safety standards, promote goodwill, and expand opportunities for client resources and clinician training.
  • Input clinical documentation in the EHR system in the appropriate format and submits all documentation according to the Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Demonstrates satisfactory performance on required Peer/Clinical Record Reviews.
  • Maintains active Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC license, in good standing with the state board.
  • Perform job duties in a manner that’s friendly, considerate, and aligned with the agency’s Mission, Vision, Patient Care Philosophy, Professional Standards, and Ethical Conduct.
