The Licensed Social Worker (LSW) provides low-level therapeutic support and consultation services to youth participating in the diversion network. The LSW is available during the designated consulting hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but is open to discussing alternative hours to conduct screenings, review youth needs, assess presenting concerns, and determine the most appropriate therapeutic recommendations. This role serves as a clinical resource for diversion providers by offering guidance, case consultation, and recommendations for mental health services, community-based supports, and intervention strategies to ensure youth receive appropriate and timely care. The LSW collaborates with program staff and community partners to support positive youth outcomes while promoting trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practices.
