About The Position

At Effective School Solutions (ESS), we are redefining what school-based mental health can look like, balancing meaningful impact with professional stability and personal well-being. ESS is a leading provider of school-based mental health services for K–12 students, serving over 6,000 students across 12 states. ESS brings the level of clinical care typically found in private practice settings directly into public schools. In response to the growing mental health needs of young people, ESS has expanded its offerings to include a full continuum of clinical programming, professional development, and consultative services for districts. We are looking for a passionate, mission-aligned clinician to provide clinical services to a small group of students with significant behavioral and emotional needs within Public Schools.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional challenges.
  • Licensed in social work (LMHC or LICSW) in the state of service
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

  • Experience working in or with school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide group, individual, and family therapy for students.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions supporting emotional and academic stability.
  • Engage families through programming and parent support groups.
  • Coordinate care and referrals to appropriate services as needed.
  • Collaborate with school and ESS teams to support student success.
