About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Refrigeration Pipefitter to join our team in the Boston area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong commercial refrigeration and HVAC piping experience who is looking for a long-term position with a growing organization.

Requirements

  • Valid Massachusetts refrigeration license REQUIRED.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required.
  • Previous commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC piping experience.
  • Strong brazing, soldering, pipefitting, and refrigeration piping skills.
  • 3-5 years experience with refrigerant piping installation and repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical plans.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing, evacuation, leak detection, and refrigeration systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Dependable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

  • Significant commercial refrigeration experience.
  • Experience with construction, retrofit, and service projects.
  • Experience with larger commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems.
  • ServiceTitan or similar field-service software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC piping systems.
  • Install refrigerant piping, fittings, valves, controls, and related components.
  • Measure, cut, bend, braze, solder, and assemble piping according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and job specifications.
  • Perform pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation, and system start-up.
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration piping and system issues and complete necessary repairs.
  • Work with compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated refrigeration equipment.
  • Coordinate with technicians, project managers, contractors, and other trades.
  • Ensure work complies with Massachusetts codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and job-site safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
