About The Position

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is hiring a Licensed Psychologist for its Wellness Center’s Neuroinclusive Project, which identifies, assesses, and supports participants experiencing neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The psychologist will provide psychological assessment and testing to outpatient mental health program participants and consultation to a multidisciplinary team to help maximize the accessibility and effectiveness of services. The role may also provide staff training on identifying, assessing, and serving participants with these conditions. The psychologist will join a multidisciplinary team providing holistic mental health care to MHALA participants. The position is part-time, at 15 or more hours per week, with part-time to full-time options depending on candidate availability and program needs. Compensation is $55.00–$75.00 per hour; actual compensation will depend on experience and other factors permitted by law. Requirements

Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California.
Clinical experience working with adults with neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
Experience with other psychiatric disorders, including Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, and Psychotic Disorders.
Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Understanding of confidentiality, HIPAA, and other legal and ethical guidelines affecting evaluation and compliance.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with discretion.
Current California Class C driver’s license, access to a vehicle for transportation, proof of valid automobile insurance, and ability to be insured by MHALA’s liability insurance; these are conditions of employment.
TB clearance and annual retesting; these are conditions of continued employment.
Employment verification directly from three past employers within the most recent seven-year period.

Responsibilities

Provide psychological assessment and diagnosis of referred participants, particularly for Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
Develop a recommended treatment plan and disposition for each participant assessed and report this information to the Wellness Center Team so it can implement appropriate supports.
Present findings and outcomes from completed assessments at team meetings and advise the team on how best to meet participant needs.
Report and assist with tracking outcomes for grant-funder reporting to the Director.
Document clinical services in the Electronic Health Record as required by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
Provide assigned or otherwise identified training to help MHALA staff better serve neurodivergent participants.
Provide clinical consultation to a multidisciplinary team to support accessible and effective services.
