About The Position

Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center, LLC (CWOMHC) is seeking a Maryland Licensed Psychologist to join their behavioral health organization. This role serves individuals with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders in the Baltimore area. The position can be full-time or part-time, with W-2 or 1099 options available. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Depending on experience and organizational needs, candidates may be considered for roles such as Treatment Coordinator, Co-Occurring Disorder Outpatient Counselor, or Addiction Counselor. Requirements

  • Active Maryland Licensed Psychologist credential required
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related behavioral health field required
  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, substance use treatment, or co-occurring disorder treatment preferred
  • Knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnosis and evidence-based treatment models
  • Experience with psychotherapy, assessment, treatment planning, and behavioral health documentation
  • Familiarity with COMAR, Medicaid, CARF, and OMHC standards preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic principles, behavioral health treatment, and integrated care
  • Experience providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment services
  • Strong understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnoses and evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and clinical reassessments
  • Experience with CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented treatment approaches
  • Familiarity with COMAR, Medicaid, CARF, OMHC, and behavioral health documentation standards
  • Experience with ICANotes or electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong crisis intervention, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, person-centered, and ethical clinical care
  • Ability to maintain timely documentation, billing compliance, and quality assurance standards
  • Leadership and care coordination skills preferred for Treatment Coordinator assignments

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and care coordination services including oversight of treatment planning and documentation, clinical case coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration, weekly treatment audits and quality monitoring, client engagement and continuity-of-care management, and team support and treatment compliance oversight.
  • Provide integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment including individual, family, and group psychotherapy, dual-diagnosis treatment, diagnostic evaluations and reassessments, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care, and treatment coordination and clinical documentation.
  • Provide substance use disorder treatment services including individual and group counseling, relapse prevention and recovery support, diagnostic assessments and treatment planning, residential and outpatient addiction treatment services, and psychoeducation and crisis intervention.
