About The Position

The Licensed Psychologist within the Psychiatric Practices is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of therapeutic services. They are responsible for delivering a full range of inpatient and/or outpatient services. Licensed Psychologist provides services to individuals and groups impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. Licensed Psychologist demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Licensed Psychologist will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received.

Requirements

  • Must hold at least a Master's Degree Clinical Psychology or related field.
  • Licensed Psychologist in the State of Missouri.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing individual, group, marital, and family counseling in alignment with contractual agreement.
  • Completes diagnostic intake assessments to ensure medical necessity is present, in a timely manner, and provides appropriate referrals based on client needs.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans within expected time frame, consistent with evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides consultations to Freeman’s Inpatient facilities as required or directed.
  • Provides and interprets psychological testing in accordance with the scope of their credentials.
  • Provide consultation and education to appropriate intra-agency and community group and institutions on behavioral health topics as approved by the Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Provides crisis services for patients during regular daytime operations
  • Adheres to system quality and documentation standards as identified by accrediting agencies, Center and program policies and procedures, and local, state and federal guidelines.
  • Responsible for regularly collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of providers within Psychiatric Practices and other program components of the Center.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
