About The Position

Seeking a Licensed Psychologist for Cook Children's Denton Clinic. This role involves administering psychological and neuropsychological testing to pediatric clients aged 2-18. There is an option to provide outpatient psychotherapy, including family and individual therapy. The position also includes supervising Practicum students to provide neuropsychological training and testing. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development, experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses, and familiarity with various treatment milieus and psychological tests. Experience with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred. An understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is also preferred.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited institution.
• Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
• Understanding of the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain.
• American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.

Nice To Haves

• Training in neuropsychology in Pre/Post Doc or studies.
• Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care.
• Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan.
• Prior experience working with children & families.
• Ability to develop outstanding leadership skills.
